Why are page thumbnails blank TN-M29

This FAQ answer is obsolete but preserved for historical interest.

PowerMapper uses a Windows DLL to extract thumbnails from web pages that Windows Explorer uses. If this DLL is not present PowerMapper takes snapshots directly from the screen, which results in black icons if PowerMapper is behind another window during mapping.

This can happen when you've installed the Trial version, installed a full version, then uninstalled the Trial version.

To fix:

1) Go to the Add / Remove Programs Control Panel
2) Select PowerMapper in the list of installed programs
3) Select the Change button
4) Select the Repair option in the Setup wizard
